Deskscape & Battery life????

I am running the Deskscape V.2 #106 as a paid user.....I am finding it is very hard om my Laptop batteries.....it cuts it from a little over 2 hrs to a little over 1 hour all else being equal. It is a Gateway 6750 with a 1.66 core 2, 3 gigs of ram & a 250 gig h/d running Vista home premimum 32 bit...
Is this normal? BTW I LOVE program & bought a lic. as soon as it was released, now I just want to use it all the time, not only when plugged in.

O.K.doublechecked my settings, disable when on batteries is checked but, it does not sotp when I unplug. It is still cutting my battery life by 50%......Ideas?

If you are making your monitor refresh like crazy with deskscape it will run down.
It's not a function of deskscapes, it's a function of the monitor needing power to display animation.
