Today, Stardock is pleased to announced the release of KeepSafe 2.0.  KeepSafe is the ultimate real-time data protection technology that is as simple as set-and-forget it.  It's designed to work in the background and be as seamless as possible. 

Anyone who has ever lost that all important document due to a drive crash, corrupt save, overwritten, etc., then users will appreciate what KeepSafe can do. This new version of KeepSafe features several new features:

  • Improved User Interface to make more user friendly and intuitive.
  • Secondary backup location can be an external hard drive or USB drive.
  • Configure KeepSafe to save to local storage temporarily, and copy to secondary drive when connected.  Very useful for when working mobile.
  • New statistics view to show file counts and disk space usage.

KeepSafe is available as a stand-alone application, or part of the ThinkDesk suite of utilities. A free download is available for evaluation, and the registered version is $29.95.

Hmmm... still not able to use KeepSafe on Server OS's? As a developer, that is where I would expect the most use out of this product. *sigh*

I rarely code on teh server itself.  But that's just me.

No, not coding on the server. Using the network file share folder located ON the server to STORE the code (and versions, all of which KeepSafe is supposed to be designed for).

Keepsafe's one of my 'essentials'...along with SyncBack and Drive Image 7.

Zubaz, no problem, just there was a time it didn't work with vista and I haven't used it since it didn't work, it worked great with XP. just wondering if v2 worked with vista so I can start using it again. thanks for your quick response and offer of help. Roger

Is a demo version available (have looked but can not seem to find it), I tried the old version but could not get it to work with Vista? I really need to try it before I buy. JohnD

I'm also running Keepsafe 2.0 on Vista with no problems as was previously the case on XP with ver. 1.00. The interface is very clear and the added functionality is just great. Congratulations to the developers - it really is a nice piece of software

I should point out that this is a free upgrade to anyone who owns KS 1.x

I love your quote! I'm making so many changes to my computer right now and this was a terrific reminder for me to backup, sync-up or else I'll have to shut-up when I'm shut-down... Oh no!
