Black UI - non-pirate version!

Sunday, April 27, 2008 by tsididi | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I just bought Object Desktop yesterday and downloaded and installed everything via Impulse. Everything works except for Windowblinds, It's just a Black UI and it doesn't apply any skins, I downloaded the apple skin from wincustomize yesterday and nothing!

I've uninstalled, rebooted, run ccleaner, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted and still nothing. I have had the Vista Transformation pack on my computer but that was uninstalled, and I ran system restore, before I bought Object Desktop. I have browsed the forum but can't seem to find any answers. Below is my config:

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.03 (build 45 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

download Stardock Central HERE

Install the latest version (beta) and see if you still have a problem.
The latest version is 6.1 build 52 (6.09q[b].137

I assume you are on XP; if so, those file dates are way off. Try Lantec's suggestion.

BTW, did you purchase Object Desktop directly from Stardock or somewhere else?

Strange, WindowBlinds installed with Impulse work fine without any major problem under Windows XP and Windows Vista. Create a ticket at [email protected] or via this system > eSupport @ Stardock.com

I'd uninstall, reboot, reinstall via Impulse or SDC again.
