How do I undo an upload, one I did not have permission for?
Because now I cannot upload anything until I get permission...which I can't get a hold of the person...

So, I tried to upload a longonstudio vista file which had a link at the bottom. On my own computer was all I was planning on using it on, but I accidentally clicked it to upload when I meant another. Now the site will not accept anything I upload until I get permission, but I would rather just not try to upload that logon, and only upload the ones I have made or have permission for. Can I delete the attempt or how do I get myself out of this situation.
As a side note, I dont really know how to upload with permissions, so I have tried to avoid anything I havent made...but I would like to know, so that I can have the link to my own website on the image and give permission without it getting rejected for having a link on it...if possible...i hope that made sense.... and thanks for a speedy reply...I hope...

the skin I accidentally uploaded isnt in my skins area, they never put it up, but I am still not allowed to upload anything until I fix it....

Having one skin in moderation will not stop you from uploading another. You could PM a moderator about the skin in question, or maybe one will stop by this thread.
I was having uploading troubles earlier today, maybe you are having the same problem? What happens when you try to upload something?

It says upload failed recently, and before that they would spend a few minutes in moderation, then be rejected, and trust me, its not for lack of awesomeness. Then I get an email saying I need permissions for this one that I tried to upload previously, which is no longer in moderation and that until I do all attempted uploads will be rejected, even if they are mine...

You must provide proof on your FUTURE submissions. Because you previously uploaded questionable work, we require that you provide some sort of proof or assertion that your future uploads are in fact your own.

Deganu, the easiest way is to email or pm the artist asking for permission. If they send permission, copy it and upload it with the work you are submitting. Just include it in the ZIP file.....

You email asking for permission . .then reply back "OK. Copy and paste either an image of that exchange into a text file or a jpg. Put it in the zip of your submission.

If someone made it, then you have to get permission. The original author still retains the copyrights and distribution rights. However, there are stock image sites that don't require permission per-say, but still have usage rules.

And if it is a picture from my camera?
Upload it.But . . .
- make sure it's formatted for it's proper use. (Don't upload photo dimensions as wallpaper)
- only upload it if you really and truly think it makes a good wall/logon/etc. No one wants to use a picture of Aunt Sally on vacation
- make sure it really is your work. Once you upload someone else's as your own you can expect a bit more scrutiny

As far as uploading with permission, all you have to do is include the permission with the skin in a zip file.
You don't get rejected for putting a link in the notes area of a skin.
