Window Media Player problems...

I'm having a bit of an issue with WMP. It will not fire up when I ask it too. If I click on WMP in my start menu nothing happens.
Any ideas?

That will not work either. The only way lately to get WMP to work is a reboot. It seems if the system is on for a long period of time WMP will not start.

Hit the .exe in WMP folder. If it works, generate a new shortcut.

I've also noticed that WMP is running in task manager. If I kill it off I can then open WMP normally.

I'm still having the same problem. Googling hasn't helped. Any more ideas?

Sounds like WMP got set in the start up some how, might check services and or start up items.
