Object dock tabbed docks move on resolution resize

Monday, March 24, 2008 by k1190 | Discussion: Stardock Support General

I have tabbed docks as a drawer on the top and right side of my screen, and have them positioned as to not interfere with any other desktop elements (eg Sidebar). Sometimes when i play some games i reduce the resoltuion from my current 1680x1050 to something smaller to get better FPS. when i exit the game, the desktop returns to normal resolution, however the tabbed docks have shifted to fit the smaller resoltuion, and i have to use an old Theme save to return it to normal. Is there a way to make tabbed docks stay put when the screen size changes?

The docks use your resolution as markers for their size and position. At this time they will simply keep their settings and move with the resolution. If you like you can try clearing the cache of your software to see if a stray setting is causing you more trouble than is normal.

Here are the online instructions:

Go to start > run and then copy this into the command line:

%userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock

It will open a file folder. Delete the ObjectDock one. Be sure to save before doing all of this.
