Can I convert an animated .gif into a format that I can use with desktopX

Howto?

Hello,

I have a really kewl desktop I'm working on, although i want to use an animated .gif on it...I've used an applet I found in the deskopX directory to make an "animated png" but it doesn't let me add multiple frames, so obviously I'm missing something.

I have this animated .gif, and it would be difficult for me to create it new, so how can I use what I have and bring it into a format that I can do with DesktopX?

Thanks,

Joe

aniutil.exe makes the png strip from multiple frames

mine's located in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\DesktopX

If you have the png strip then do the following:

- Select Object Properties
- Select States Tab
- Select Animation Tab (Next to appearance tab)
- Enter the number of frames, time, method, etc.

I thought you meant you weren't getting more than one frame in the png strip

Yea, I wasn't, but I figured out why, instead of clicking on a file and then trying to add another, it requires that you "laso" the files or highlite all of them first...no biggie

Thanks lots!
