Cursor hides behind other items
Cursor FX problem

I love using Cursor FX! But sometimes my cursor will appear behind my docks, WindowBlinds, or Object Desktop items. Rebooting doesn't help, neither does restarting the other apps. Any Ideas?

this happens to me occasionally as well, usally after i have quit out of a game that changes my default screen resolution. heres what i do.... right click on the desktop and choose properties....then click the settings tab and change your screen resolution, click apply and when the box opens up asking if you want to keep the change click no and let it change back to what it was before. move the cursor around and see if the problem is gone. if not you may have to repeat the procedure again. this never fails to work for me. i believe this is not a problem with cursor FX itself but a problem in the windows operating system to do with layering or something. good luck mate

The current versions of CursorFX are in the last set of numbers. You will need 2.00.008. This can be better seen and updated through Stardock Central. Also a big help is to make sure your video deivers are up to date. That is even more important if you are on Vista.

I am not a gamer, but I tried this several times; it did not work for me.
I reinstalled cfx, and it still says it's version 2.00. I cannot see it in SDcentral (I am running the free version of cfx). My video drivers are up to date.
Have I stumped anyone yet? I am!

The issue is a Z Ordering problem that Windows actually has. As long as I have worked for Stardock we have let Microsoft know about it.
In most cases a quick restart fixes it or sometimes even refreshing the desktop. You will see this happen more with XP than with Vista but it is still present. A fix or work around has been looked into but nothing that won't require help from MS is available at this time. If it happens often try a uninstall/reinstall to see if it improves it.
