Finish The Sentence.

The rules:
I'll start a sentence with a word (one word only) and the next poster will finish the sentence. Then, on a new line, that poster will start a new sentence with one word (one word only please). The finished sentence can be as long as it needs to be in order to complete the sentence, however, make sure it's only one sentence. Here we go.

Phantoms in the night, I see them, in my dreams, under the bed, behind the closet door and often on the ceiling, peering down at me as I try to sleep, but can not because they eerily haunt my every thought as I lay there, unknowing what they may do next to disturb my night's rest that I see the dawn usher in a new day, having not slept at
all.
