Multiplicity Problems *HELP*
Wednesday, February 27, 2008 by William Kelley | Discussion: ThinkDesk
I'd just like to start by saying i've been a loyal stardock customer for many years now.
Last night I decided it was time to update to XP64, as I upgraded my system ram to 8gb and my off systems to 4gb each. Originally I was running just 2 systems. So believe I want to detail the events as they took place.
#1 Upgrade 1st to 64bit XP. Install XP SP2 and all my updates and drivers Connect to 2nd System (32bit XP) works fine.
#2 Upgrade 2nd to 64bit XP. Install Multiplicity, and run into the following errors->
Every attempt to switch to this screen I was greeted with the full loss of keyboard/mouse control.
Attempt to fix by upgrading to XP SP2 and all drivers and updates.
System still not working... (Multiple reboots, uninstalls of multiplicity / reinstalls of it done)
All of a sudden bam it started working (with no reasons for this).
#3 Buy 3rd computer. Install XP 64bit. Install XP SP2 and drivers (dont want to risk it not working) Have ALL updates installed. Same errors ->
1st connects to 2nd and 3rd fine. 1st can share mouse with 2nd but when switching to 3rd mouse / keyboard gets lost forever.
Multiple attempts to reinstall and fix this.. Still not working.
Please help me.
