Can you make a swf a background?

I was wondering if you could make a .swf into a desktop background, and what program it would require. Thanks!

you can set a flash movie (.swf) file as a desktop background on windows XP by embedding it within a .html file, and setting the file as your desktop.
I don't know of any other way to do it on XP, nor any way to do it on vista.

There are some programs that allow you to convert SWF files to other formats if you have vista and deskscapes you could always try that route. Check out Super Video Convertor it's a free conversion program.
