. . And I thought Duke Nukem Forever would come first

Tom's Hardware Guide (which gave a good review of Sins of a Solar Empire [published by Stardock]) is reporting that those of you with not enough to skin and too much money on your hands can have a new project.

How much money is too much money?  Ebay had one for sale for $2750US.  And what does that get you?  A keyboard that you can skin the keys of.  You can also map them like macros.  It could be THE ULTIMATE GAMING KEYBOARD OF DOOM!!!  (If you pre-ordered you could have gotten it for $1564.)  Each key is 48 pixels square and supports 64k colors

It's never too late to add this to your birthday wish list.  I'm sure your husband or wife would understand.

I've been spoiled by my G15, I will forever have to have an LCD screen attached to my keyboard now, along with backlighting (I love working in the dark!). Though I must say I do prefer the original G15 over the new version.

DiNovo Edge ....a fraction of the price but [I wager] better build quality....it's a lovely bit of kit.  I'll stick with what I have.  Besides...no whizz-bang keyboard is good enough for GTR2 or rFactor...

Man, and now I feel like a loser for using a Microsoft Comfort Curve.

But, you know, this is just the sort of goofy overpriced silliness that encourages other companies to do the same thing. Watch - in ten years we'll all have keyboards like this, and laugh at those who still use...urm, Microsoft Comfort Curves.

Okay it is kind of cool that it can be done.

But as someone who spends about 16 hours or more a day in front of the pc and looks at the keyboard MAYBE twice a day at most, that is just outrageously insane.
