error downloading the selected library
Tuesday, February 19, 2008 by WandaJo | Discussion: Stardock Support General
I posted this in New Users yesterday and another "Citizen" was having the same problem that just started yesterday. It did not get resolved in that forum. I'm not familiar with the escalation process, so thought I would try this forum. In WinCustomize browser, I am getting "There was an error downloading the selected library - please try again"/ I have rebooted and re-installed WCB and now I can't get to any of the libraries through WCB. I am running XP-SP2 and made no changes to my machine the last few days. Yes, I can use regular IE and download, but am unable to search and use the install/apply functions. I would appreciate some advice on the next step I should take. Thanks,

I feel like I'm on another planet here. I don't have a log in that folder. I HAD a filedownload.log in C:\Program Files\Stardock\WinCustomize\SkinBrowser\data but it hasn't been written to since 2/17. In that same folder I have a new download file that chronicles my current failures. I think I have all my updates. Why is my file structure different? EDIT Never Mind - you're using SD Central - Sorry....

One, a link to the other post might help people get up-to-speed.
Two, these are community supported forums that the tech-support and developers sometimes pop in to.
And three, there is always official support available by emailing [email protected] or going to https://www.stardock.helpserve.com/
So . .what library initially caused the issue? What sin in the library?
What version of WCB?
Did downloading and applying work in the past?
