get deskscapes to run at pc start up and icons

hi

just have a few questions about deskscapes

1 how can i get deskscapes to run at pc start up

2 some of the old deskscapes products dont work on the 2.0 version when will this be fixed

3 some of the deskscapes products dont show the desktop icons is there any way i can get the icons to show on the desktop

4 last thing if there is not a setting for getting deskscapes to run on pc start up and show icons then i think this option should be added

could you tell me please

1. It should automatically. If not, navigate to Start Menu>Stardock>Object Desktop>DeskScapes. Copy the DeskScapes shotcut to the "Startup" folder.

2. Yes, unfortunately. I do not have an answer for that.

3. I assume you mean the Dreams. You have to copy the .dream files from My Documents>Stardock>Dreams to the desktop.

4. I agree.

i have tryed this and all i get is the menu to add more desktops i think the people who made these desktops should start look at fixing them as they now work on all version of vista and stardock should look at adding an option for the desktop icons

  1. Something isn't right with yoru setup.  I set a dream up using the Control Panel | Personalization | Desktop Background | Animated Wallpaper and pick a dream.  (After downloading a new dream I drag and drop it here.)
    The dream applies and teh next time i reboot  . . there it is.
    What does yours do?
  2. Some dreams don't work?  Post one or two.  Have you left a note for the creators?  Are the "broken" ones all by the same creator?
  3. Icons are contolled by your PC.  Are they .dreams or .wmv or something else?  Very large dreams don't get an preview icon due to your system specs (I think)

hi

some times they do start with the pc other times they dont and when i restart the pc i get the desktops come up so not sure if this is a problem with deskscapes 2.0 or my pc

Same thing happened to me, tech support told me to update my video drivers and then reinstall without avg or spy sweeper enabled. Works now so I'd say its probably your pc as it was mine.
