Getting rid of Security Center in Vista

To activate Administrator account in Vista type the following from the command prompt,in the root directory...C:\
Net user administrator /active:yes
To turn it off again type:
Net user administrator /active:no
once you activate the administrator account...boot into safe mode...log on with administrator account,then go to windows\system 32 and rename
the following files:
wscapi.dll
wscsvc.dll
wscui.cpl
Change them to the following:
wscapi.dll.bak
wscsvc.dll.bak
wscui.cpl.bak
and reboot...and you'll never see another Security Center pop up...
This is intended for those who want to get it rid of and find it as annoying as I did...

I wouldn't actually call Symantec products 'useless' - more an annoyance. 
Usefull when you're using them but a pain in the butt when you wanna remove them from your system.....
They dig themselves so deep into your system that, some times (not every time) you have to re-install your OS to completely get rid of the application.

I use Your Uninstaller Pro and it gets rid of every last trace of any given program on the system....and as for Symantec Endpoint,don't even know its there till it blocks or detects something...other than that the only indication its there is a tray icon...

Symantec products...IMO... are awful.

I don't have privileges to change security attributes and other things like that.
It's really driving me nuts.
How do I get full, total control of this machine?????

That's your biggest security issue right there. Symantec products are useless...
