Skinners, Artists, Coders, and Testers Needed: Community Suite
Happy Birthday!!

After the success on the Troll Thumping Day Suite some members of the Mother Thumpers are coming together to create the "Happy Birthday Suit(e)".
I envision this suite centered around a DX gadget that counts down to your birthday. On your birthday the gadget will prompt you to download the most recent incarnation of the suite components so for your special day, your desktop will celebrate with you.
At this point we have some components assigned to artists but this is a collaborative project and welcome input and assistance from everyone. Please jump in and help out if you'd like.

It looks grate,
have 1 question can you make it for a top start menu too
explanation: When the taskbar is at the top of the desk top..
So that winky will hold on /hang from the bottom of the start menu or something..
If at all possible /or you even want to..
Just a thought..

I have been trying to figure out what to do about the start button...I hadn't thought about the animation. Thank you for the brain hemorrhage I'm about to have.
I suppose I would have to make a second animation...but I think a top style would have to actually be a substyle.

Thanks for all the hard work.
If we can agree that it's at a set state, others can start working on thier parts.
Can we agree that this is enought to work with? You need to assume that there may be more tweaks and you may have to adjust.

I'll keep adding graphics for you all to download as I go along.
Special images (like Winky and stuff outside the skin) will be made available as they come up..BUT feel free to add your own!!! It's a community thing, ya' know!!!

The balloons really don't match the art style.

Pugboy, let us know what graphics program your using so we can be more constructive and helpful. Your idea is good, it's the execution that needs some fine tuning.

The confetti was kind of a quick thing, and is easily replaceable. I have everything in layers.

Can you use the balloons I made? Not sure if GIMP can use PSD files. If not, I would be happy to put them in PNG format for you.
Make a background. I would go with the 'colors' in the screenshot...I think they work well...but you can do what you want with the texture. Experiment. Go crazy.

Okay...here is the first set of graphics. Mostly whatever you see in the screenshot....but no Winky. I want to get the animation done.
before I post the link, I have to get a plug in here. You'll be downloading from my Goowy Desktop Virtual File Storage. I've been using Goowy for a while. It has email, file storage, and too many other things to list...and it's all FREE. I am truly loving this site as my new Desktop.
