Unless p.c. secure is a program that you paid for find something similar that looks for adware and run a test to see if you still have problems. Lots of free programs out there that you can try. I would suggest one but I don't know what p.c. secure does and what would be a similar program. If you can't find a configuration option for the program you are running I would change to something else.

I have never had this problem and I run Ad-aware, Spybot-Search & Destroy, Spyware Blaster, AVG Anti-Spyware and Windows Defender. Yeah I know overkill, but you can run as many anti-spyware programs as makes you feel safe. By the way all these are free versions.

hi Philly , got p.c secure from ZDnetb , as they say it is the best for spy ware, had defender but it did not pick up nothing, also running avast, that to seems happy about my allienware, my net is iburst , had speed problems with it due to spy ware , after running pc secure i found 291 spys on my pc, net speed is now fine but allienware and objectdock gone,, i think about crying,, did contact pc secure but had no real replay from them ,,

Our software does not contain spyware or keyloggers.  Though Stardock Multiplicity does set keyboard hooks as it sends keystrokes over other machines you are controlling.

I would agree with Philly0381 on trying another app as the one you are using appears to be having problems.

I'd have real concerns with a company (PC Secure) having that much access to my PC.
Can you post a link to the companies site so I can take a look.  Google didn't help too much (just a quick look)

bitbull101 running a program that doesn't pick up any spyware could very well be a good thing, as running a program that finds or gives false positives could be bad. Take a moment to absord that.

There are a lot of programs out there that will tell you they are the best, it's only by using them do you find out if that is a true statement and under what conditions. It wouldn't hurt to try other programs while you are waiting. The ones I pointed out are those that I use, there are more and almost all have free versions.

bitbull101 that's good that you checked things out first. I will say though that the only true test that's worth anything is running it on your computer versus a test machine. Did the test computer have the same software that you have on your computer?

Here's a comparison to think about. A lot of people download Stardock programs and cannot get them to work yet everyone else can. Does that mean there is something wrong with the Stardock programs?

I use SpyBot, Spyware Terminator, and Windows Live OneCare. Never had any issues with SD apps being called adware.......

There's different levels of so called spyware, most that get detected on my comp by spyware terminator are usually cookies for login n stuff,it gives options to ignore in the future,my guess is you need to train pc secure for what's bad & what ain't,basicly learn how to use it,also enable realtime protection & Host Intrusion Protection Service (HIPS=any new program that attempts to install or startup can be blocked when pop-up tells you a new program is attempting to start or install),personally i only use 1 scanner & that's spyware terminator,i've done the whole more than one spyware detection app,now it's unnecessary, also there's no reason to spend money on security apps when theres enough freebies that are in the top 20,even some of the commercial apps ain't so hot in tests
