No, no, no, no, no. Hancock did not suck. It was an amusing in an average sort of way. "Katt Williams Internet Dating" SUCKED (it was like watching bad porn...without the naughty bits!)

I was with it, for the most part, right up until Theron donned the evil-makeup-of-doom and the movie free-fell into the ridiculous plot of angels or aliens or whatever they're supposed to be. ![]()

Last time I thought I was watching porn... without the naughty bits, it was actually a telecast of a sitting of Oz Parliament.... they were discussing (with lots of swearing going on) the alleged sordid life, affairs and excesses of a prominent politician.
Oh, wait... that WAS porn... without the naughty bits being telecast/shown to the voting public.

Damned politicians have all the fun. ![]()
Hmmmm, I wonder if Bill Clinton will ever get desperate enough for cash to pen/publish a book truthfully telling of his Oval Office indiscretions???

Sorry to say, it did suck, for me anyway, it looked so awesomely hilarious, the part where he throws the whale at that boat, and one other funny part.. but when you see it, you'll see that they were the ONLY funny parts.. it was boring.. ![]()

Ohhhh...you were watching it for it's humor value! I'm not sure if it's because I was frazzled trying to fix my husband's computer mixed with working until 2 a.m., but somewhere along the line, I quit watching it to laugh, and I was possessed by the spirit of some long past philosophy student, and started to ponder whether Hancock's life was actually better in the end than it was in the beginning. He actually seemed kind of content and in his element when he was an alcoholic -- his heart was protected, he didn't seem to miss anybody or long for anyone. Once he started opening up to others, then he became vulnarable. And wasn't that the point, since the closer he got to his counterpart the weaker and more human/physically vulnerable he became?

Will Smith,... I think he's a little full of himself, that's just my opinion, but that's what turns me off anything he's in, MIB rocked, but only because Tommy Lee Jones made it rock, and Independance Day I loved.. because Jeff Goldblum was in it![]()
Two words to turn me off Will Smith = Fresh Prince![]()

Sigh...Hancock sucked. How desperate or hungry for superhero movies are we that we would pay for to see this crap. AND they are planning a sequal! You know how it's gonna go. He's going to NEED Theron to help him and they cancel each other out, so one of them will have to make the sacrifice again. That's the biggest problem with sequals...the rerun the original formula and try to do it bigger. No originality. If they want to make the sequal ANY good, it'll have a prequal built in explaining more about them. But do you NEED to know? It's really just the Highlander all over again. Gauranteed in the next one, after they have said that Smith and Theron are the LAST two, they will find another'god' or whatever to throw in.
Check out this deleted scene from the movie. After I saw this, I realized they had probably left the best and funniest part out of the movie.
