Rainlendar Skin Problem

Friday, February 1, 2008 by -O-rigin | Discussion: OS Customization

Hello,

I hope this post is in the correct section.

I've been wanting to alter/learn about the Rainlendar skins by analyzing the default "Shadow4" skin, as is suggested by the creator himself.

However, the skin is *not* in .zip format (as I've been told twice now) hence cannot be unpacked. It's in the "Skins" folder as a system file (.r2 file) and cannot be opened/unpacked as such (that I know).

I'm not a novice with computers by any means, but I cant find a way to open/unpack the file/skin and cannot find another file of it in a different form.

I'm using v2.3 lite, btw.

Any help/suggestions on what the deal is with this skin and being able to unpack it somehow, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much.
Snowman

Simply rename the skin to *.zip

Simply rename the skin to *.zip

Nope, that doesn't work. It's still an .r2 file, not a .zip file.

Control Panel/ Folder Options/ View: un-check 'Hide extensions for known file types'. Apply. Now rename the file.
