Make start menu fonts larger

Hello, After this site succesfully helped me with my sound scheme problem I thought Id'e ask for your help again.
I have seen some very nice skins here but some of them have so small fonts I can hardly read them, is there an easy way to make them larger? I already tried in the windows control panel/Appearance.... but it dosen't work!
I also have the skin editor but cant find the settings.
