can't apply a skin!!!

everytime I try to apply a skin it goes to windows classic instead of the skin I choose.
or nothing happens.
I tried everything I could possibly think of.

Well I can see it's the shareware version. Where did you download it from? The problem you are getting normally happens when the trial period is up.

How long have you been using the shareware version?
If the trial periode has ended, the only thing you can do is to buy WB.
