HELP ! No Display Properties Dialog

What's Going on ? .... I have not the faintest ....

Slight problemette ! :

When I Right Click on an empty area of my desktop ..

..and select Properties, the usual Display Properties box does not show ... and I have no Idea why ..

In the Control Panel , the Display icon is there ..when I click that it still does not show ..

XP Pro Sp2 ... net framework 1.1 to 3 , usual MS updates ..

MS Defender , avg free , CC , Spybot .... a System Restore did not work either ..neither did a few reboots and turn offs ... I have admin rights ...

So I haven't the foggiest idea ... hairpull.gif

Hi Mike, how you been? I have occasionally had that problem when changing from one WB to another. Never happens all the time. When it does usually a log out or reboot corrects the problem. Is this just with one WB or more? Try anther skin to see if it works, could be the skin.

I never passed the problem to support since it would correct on reboot.

As for the prob .. Its the first time this has happened to me .. I tried another skin but no luck .. reboot does nothing ..

For whats it's worth .. here my sysinfo:

Start/ Run/ - type: %windir%\system32\desk.cpl Click OK. Does it show?

Hi yrag , sorry about the delay getting back to you ~

~ Yup .. that did the trick ! It shows as normal now ... I still cannot think what happened ...

I also updated my graphics Nvidia drivers too ... and so far so good ...

incidentally ...as you can see from my sysinfo I recently updated from SDC .. maybe that caused it ... who knows ..? ?
