Welcome to 2008! The GUI Champs Are Coming Again!

It was almost one full year ago that the winners were announced and the 2006 GUI Champioships came to a close. Since then, traffic has been steady on the site as users from around the globe come back to download great skins, and look for news on the next event in 2008.
Well, consider this your official notice. There WILL be a 2008 GUI Champs event!
While we're still in the early planning stages of the event, there are a few things I can tell you now:
- The 2008 GUI Champs will be held in the second half of this year, so you have a lot of time yet.
- The GUI Champs site will be redone to take advantage of improvements made to WinCustomize.com and JoeUser.com
- WindowBlinds and IconPackager events will return
- There will be NO wallpaper category
- There will be two completely new events
We are working very hard to make this year's event the biggest ever. We're working with new sponsors, and will be asking participating sites to be much more involved this year. All of this will combine to make the 2008 GUI Champs something to remember.
Get started on those concepts... the competition will be here before you know it!
