High Res Logon Skins?

Tuesday, January 15, 2008 by Reako | Discussion: Customization Software

Man! I have been searching through pages and pages of logon screens and it sucks knowing that none display properly since my screen is set at 1900x1200. Anybody know where I can find some nice High Res logon screens OR I would prefer an apple version of a logon screen for my current theme... TIA!

you could use the in built editor to make the logon images the resolution you want. go into logon studio, then into the logon you want to edit, get the image and load it up in your favourite image editor and increase the resolution, then save it. that should work.

boss does widescreen logons if you're using XP....

high res....and high quality.....

Link to widescreen logons

you can also easily pop your own 1920 pic into a splash logon....for personal use only.....

I was using 1360x1020 as my default logon background size in my logons(halfway between 1024 and 1600),but now I have a widescreen monitor at 1920x1200 and they still look ok...they just stretch a bit.(splash style logons dont distort the images as badly as a wall displayed at the wrong rez)

Future logons will be wide and standard with widescreen probably being 1650(halfway between 1280 and 1920)

Like these guys said, you can easily replace the background in a splash style logon with a full 1920x1200 image(convert to bitmap from a widescreen wallpaper)

I tried a few things you guys have mentioned. My one concern is that when I try to edit the pre-made Logon screen with the built in editor, it seems as if the logon was made on a previous version so it won't preview correctly to edit. It's just a shame. I just want a decent Apple logon that would work with my high res. And with it, it stretches the logon screen unproportional, not just the background.

My logons weren't created in logonstudio. In fact opening them for editing with LS will screw them up

Give me 5 minutes to find some links.... I have just what you need!

Ok,

1. Download this logon My_very_own_logon

2. install logon

3. find the wallpaper you want to use and rename it Bitmap_100.bmp (it is very important to use a .bmp for this, .jpg will not work)

4.Open folder: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\My_Very_Own_Logon

5. Drag and drop your Bitmap_100.bmp into the folder to replace the one there.

6. Open Logonstudio and apply.

Never try to edit in logonstudio as it will change the configuration

Have fun!

Do NOT use the editor on splash logons...just open the folder and replace Bitmap_100.
