New Menu Toolbar in Vista?

Sunday, January 13, 2008 by cordelia0507 | Discussion: Windows Vista

I just switched to Vista and have notice a toolbar that seems pointless. It is just under the menu in Windows Explorer and looks in Vista as if it is 3D, made in coloured glass.

I can't see the point with this toolbar and it doesn' skin well in many of the WB skins.

Does anyone know

-What this bar is called
-how to turn it off or hide it?

Hope you can help!

haha - yes its typical isn't it! I haven't been as patronised for many years as I have been since I installed Vista. And it,s slower too - even though my machine is superfast...! Thanks for the info!

Yes. but any skin worth its salt.. thats been designed for Vista should have a matching graphic.. If its the default Vista blue glass deal...the skin wasnt designed for vista or the artist didnt skin that element.
