Switching from Vista folder to Wnidows Classic folder

Has anyone tried it before, It won't change anything on my system. Would anyone let me know if it works or if its just me....

Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Folder Options and under the general tab ckeck Use windows classic folders and apply...

I'm not sure what it's supposed to do either. When I tried it I didn't notice any difference.

I wonder if anybody knows more about this feature... once you click on that option, the icons next to it changes so Im assuming it probably does something...

doesnt work, from all im seeing it just enables to menubar.

I see a difference in XP.  It shows the side panel.

And in Vista it allows you to add or remove the Preview panels (Under Organize | Layout )
