Creating screenshots

Friday, January 4, 2008 by leegreaves | Discussion: LogonStudio

I wonder if you guys at stardock could come up with a small update for LogonStudio? Dont you think the way we have to create a screenshot of a logon window we create is a little too awkward!!! I mean where you say about using the ALT+PrtScrn or PrtScrn button/s and then pasting it into a program is too user unfriendly. So why dont you come up with the option of being able to have a preview button in the logon studio editor and from there of being able to export a screenshot to JPEG format? Come on guys, surely that would be the easier option!!!!!

Actually using the PrtScrn button and then pasting it into a program like Paint is using the Windows function that is already there and that users of MS OS's are familiar with. Nothing new to learn. If Stardock added a similar function to one of it's program then they would have to do to all or atleast those that you would make skins for. Extra code that really isn't needed.

Now I'm just a user, so lets see what Stardock has to say.

I use the same method as Philly myself. However I don't know of updates on the way. I will forward this request higher.

A future update may include an option to generate preview screenshots. We've played with something internally, but it's not scheduled for the next month or two at least.
