Confused about products

Newbie here. Have only had OD for a couple of days (overwhelming). I am going to subscribe and get the WC browser, but as I was cruising the store I noticed some of the other software offered and am a bit confused.
What's the difference between ObjectDock Plus and ObjectBar in OD? Also, what's the difference between DesktopX 3 and DesktopX in OD. Are they different and if so are there any great advantages to to the ObjectDock Plus and DesktopX 3 over what is included with OD? Any info and advice welcomed.

I'm still not certain what the difference is between DesktopX that comes with the complete OD suite and the seperate DesktopX3 that is for sale as a stand alone. Object Desktop Launcher isn't working. Do I need it to launch widgets, desktops and objects or can these be performed from other programs in the suite? Every time I try to start OD Launcher I get these errors that "The procedure entry point DoNotOpenPipeStream could not be located in the dynamic link library ScrRun.dll.", then the window opens but won't function.
One other question for this newbie. I assume that when I'm using WB to set a new skin, I cant' use Windows desktop properties to alter anything, is this correct?
Thanks for any info you can provide. This seems overwhelming to an old guy like me!

I think ODNT Launcher is more of a marketing tool than anything else. Use SDC to run anything that isn't run at startup.
You can alter your desktop using Windows functionality but on reboot the WB setting will take effect. You should alter within the WB config.
Uploading images is fine. Post to a site like imageshack.us and then click the image ling button (the last one in this editor). Post the bottom URL there. done.

the one that comes with ODNT is the same in the beginning, but with the ODNT your get to play with the betas that eventually become the next release

Angus....in SDC listed under "free stuff" is a little app called "Smart Exception." I would run that while your testing things out and if you get any errors...that can generate an error report that could help diagnose any problems.

Thanks WebGizmo, I'll check that out tomorrow and see how it goes. Bedtime for us old folks for now. Can't do the 28 hour days like I used to.

Object Bar and Object Dock are totally different. Object Bar can take over for your start menu as a full functioning desktop. Object Dock can have many functions as being a listing of all your desktop shortcuts as well as have wigits built right in performing extra functions. That may sound similar but really since you have ODesktop download Object bar and play with it. Then go download the trial of Object Dock and you will how different they are.
