DesktopX Widgets for ObjectBar2

Thursday, December 27, 2007 by Sepehr Akhavan | Discussion: New Users

Hi,

I'm trying to install a widgets from DesktopX Widgets section for my ObjectBar. When I click on .zip I get an error. Can someone tell me what .ext I have to put instead of .zip in order to open and install the widgets.

Thanks

Sepehr

Sepehr Akhavan use the to take you to the WinCustomize Wike page for ObjectBar. Towards the bottom you will see a tutorial for creating and ObjectBar. Hope this helps.

Thanks but it doesn't help. I need to change the .zip extension in order to open it. I knew what extension I had to change but can't remember.

Okay, usually when I download a widget I go to the file where it was put, double click it and that opens up another window, double click on the file and it loads. I've never had to change file extensions.

a widget is in .exe, no need to change the extension you have only to unzip the file and then load the widget trough objectbar

Guys thanks. I know that. I have winzip on my computer but when I click on the files (I have tried over 10) I get the following error "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Option control panel".

I tried to unzip other programs and it works fine except the WinCustomize.

Any ideas.

Thanks

No I haven't. But I thought I can just install the widgets and use them in ObjectBar.

I believe first you have to be able to unzip/used the widget. For that you need DesktopX. Once you have that downloaded, download you widgets. Open up ObjectBar and import the widget. That's where the page in the Wiki comes in.

Like I usually say at this point, if I'm wrong someone will come by and correct me.

fews things:

1°/ do you have tried with an other zip program like winrar or whatever else...?
2°/ what the browser you had used to download it?
3°/ which version of ObjectBar2 (do you have the last one)?
