some bad news...and some Great News!!

see, its a lil of both...

Thursday, November 15, 2007 by BuddhaV10 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

my girlfriend has been experiencing some severe pain in her side, and decided to go see her doctor. an x-ray was run, and it was discovered that she had an ovarian cyst, and that it was going to need to be removed. (she's only 19, so that's apparently rare) according to the doctor, it is apparent that she will need a full hysterectomy to solve the problem, and that she will never get to have kids of her own. needless to say, she was devastated.

well, we were talking, and she asked me if i would ever leave her because she couldn't have kids, and i simply pulled a ring out of my pocket and said, "Does this answer your question?"
yea, i know. horribly cheesey, but darn it, it seemed like the right time. so now im engaged. i was planning to ask her around christmas time, since it's her favorite holiday, but outside forces made me do it early. we havent made any arrangements yet for the wedding because of the surgery, but when it's done, and she's recovered, we'll work it out.

so on one hand, my girlf...fiance is in the hospital, on the other hand, she's my fiance!
i dont know whether to be upset or happy. so i guess im hapset.

had to share with you guys, im basically shouting from the rooftops on all my fave sites.

Congratulations!

If you are near TX and need a minister to tie the knot, let me know.  I'd love to do it.

I don't think it's cheesy....when opportunity knocks...better answer it. Quite a good way to go about it, in my opinion (best answer to her question that I could ever think of).

Congrats!

Congrats, BuddhaV10 ...

Although she was most likely full of fear at that moment ...you did exactly what was needed, so at the same time her heart was probably brimming with love & admiration for you.

Hope she recovers to the best possibilities, and the future for both of you is rosy!

All the best to you both. I hope all goes well with the surgery.
Adoption helps couples like you and more importantly it helps kids who'd otherwise have little or no chance in the world.
