2560 x 1600

Wednesday, November 14, 2007 by FredR25 | Discussion: Animated Wallpapers

Can someone please tell me if there are any animated wallpapers that run at 2560 x 1600. I have a 30" LCD and all of the wallpaper's I looked at are the wrong resolution. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Dynamic dreams should run at the resolution your machine is running at.  The ovals deskscape is free example of this type.

Video dreams run at a fixed resolution, usually 1280x720 and that will be stretched to fit.

well all of use multi monitor users are out of luck with this... would like to see a 3840x1024 res. to try on my system... but for now all I get is three images broadcasted on each monitor. If anyone has a way to resolve this issue feel free to inform

I was able to do it but with a BFG card and the software through ATI. With the image broadcasted as such it went over both monitors. However I can't see any other way to do it since you can't really tile them effectivly. Basicly if your card can pull it off you can as well.

If you want to enlarge an existing wallpaper to your resolution then PhotoZoom enlarges digitally and there is almost negligible distortion. If you play around with the settings in PhotoZoom you will get pleasing results. My advice would be to look for images close to your resolution the PhotoZoom them.It is not that expensive either.

I just remembered..... I made two very wide wallpapers ages ago. They are 3072x768. Not sure how they will stretch top to bottom, but they are certainly wide enough.

I hope they are of some use to you.
