Can Freeform non-PPX Titlebar Buttons Be Animated?

If Yes, How?

Sunday, November 4, 2007 by Daiwa | Discussion: Skinning

Not much to add to the post title, but:

I can animate the buttons using SKS5 but can't figure out how to control which tiles are included in the animation loop. That's my stumbling block.

Any suggestions for more research? Thanks.

How many frames of actual animation?

4. I've tried putting them in between the active & inactive tiles and tacking them on to the right of the inactive tiles but no matter what I do the inactive tiles get included in the loop. With the StartButton, the animated tiles are added to the right of the standard tiles & there is a setting to tell WB which tile is 'Tile1' of the animation loop & which tile is 'TileLast' (my descriptive terms, not official SKSese). I don't find those start/stop settings for Titlebar buttons, just frame count & animation rate, but putting anim.dll in the skin folder allows an animation to occur - just can't figure out how to control which tiles the animation uses.

Thanks, AVMAN.

Thanks, AVMAN.

Looks like the trick is to use 2 buttons, one for the active window & one for the inactive window, rather than using a single button. Didn't know you could do that - but now I do.

'Preciate it very much.
