I changed the settings to apply wallpaper if it comes with a skin, but it wont I've downloaded several themes that I was SURE came with wallpapers just to make sure it wasn't the one I was using but still no dice. Thanks for any help ^^

HoS -

via SDC - have seen some posts where installed, rebooted, open SDC, still shows update, install that, reboot = now works

I don't have Vists - can't test

If that fails, try: download new straght to archive. after downloaded, uninstall old (archive 1st if you want to keep it just in case), reboot, use SDC to restore 'new archive', reboot

Was this desktop problem ever resolved? I am what you all call here a "noob", as of yesterday (12/4/07) and downloaded WB6 and my first skins. I am also having the same problem with the desktop graphics not showing up when WB installs the skins, in fact, the desktop graphics that show in the thumbnails in WinCustomize site, under WB skins, do not show up in the WB window after download, so appears they are not making it through the download to the WB browser window???

Any help will be appreciated as some of those desktop graphics were the very reason I downloaded the skins :0)!

Thanks

First things first.
In the WB config app, click on the system tools tab, click the "Copy" button, past the info back here.

Then, using a browser outside of the Wincustomize browser or SDC, download a skin and save it to your desktop.  Post the link to the file you downloaded here.  Post the name of the file on your desktop here too.

Finally, double-click on the file.  What happens?

FYI... When I install another skin named "Global" the desktop does appear, however, when I change the skin the "global" desktop remains as the desktop.

I know that this is a case of I simply don't know yet what I'm doing, so I apologize for taking up your time, however, the assistance is appreciated.

Thanks! Stephanie

not all skins have walls
if they do, they usually mention in the description
also check the comments, sometimes they mention where to get it
