Problem upgrading to WB6

Around 11AM Eastern today, I started the upgrade from WB 5.5 to 6.0.
It's nearly 5:30PM Eastern, and it's still going on.
The problem is with the "moving" of skins from one directory to another. Maybe it's me, maybe it's my system because I don't have Windowblinds installed on the C: drive. (I never install applications, if I can help it, to C:. Even running XP, my C: drive is no bigger than 4GB, and I only use half of it.
Since I started the install this morning, I've had almost a hundred...if not more...windows appear trying to "move" my skins (and I don't even have 100 skins installed) to this new directory, supposedly so "all users" can take advantage of them. There's only one user on this specific machine...administrator...and no others.
This is most annoying. Pretty, as you can tell from the screen shot attached, but annoying.
I'm going to try and cancel the install, roll back to 5.5 and wait until someone tells me...why...this has happened and convince me (and it's gonna take a LOT of convincing, trust me) to upgrade to 6, 'cause if this is the result, it ain't gonna happen.

that's gotta be a glitch somewhere... my move only took a little while - about 50 skins this time around -- only time I got 100+ plus windows was when I was moving skins to a disk and on shift+clik my mouse double clicked and they all tried to install at once.

Well, I've got 6.0 installed, but I'm not happy...
Hankers, I'm using the stand-alone version. My subscription to Object Desktop lapsed and I never renewed it, since really, I just used Windowblinds anyway. It's cheaper for me, IMHO, to use just the standalone version.
I made sure Stardock Central was uninstalled and deleted the left over files on my system. I then went in and found the duplicate files and deleted them. Rebooted, downloaded a new copy of the installed and ran the install.
It's installed and activated, but I'm still not happy that skin files are installed in C:
I don't like having files stored in C:! It's a waste of space! I'm old school...you keep your personal files in a separate directory from your OS!
This isn't a good idea, kids. I'll play with 6.0 for awhile, and if it doesn't look like it's any better, then I'm reverting back to the last build of 5 and staying there. I don't like the idea of my skins being in the Shared Documents folder of the All Users directory. I never use "My Documents".

If you want to relocate your skins then there are registy keys which would let you do that, but we had to move the default location to one which can be read by all user accounts on your PC.

Along with migrating your skins to the location where you will want to use them, you will need to adjust two registry keys:
Start->Run
regedit
HKLM\Software\Stardock\WindowBlinds\WB5.ini\Installed\Path
HKCU\Software\Stardock\WindowBlinds\WB5.ini\Installed\Path
Change the Path value in each of these locations to the directory from which you would like WindowBlinds to read.

I had the same problem friday night 10/12 see my post as I didn't see yours.
My WB5.5 was part of OD and was installed in D: that is why I couldn't understand the move.
computer is really messed up now and am considering uninstall OD completely.
I'll be watching your post until I decide what I want to do.

Peter, make sure you copy ALL the files from the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\Windowblinds directory to whichever partition\folder you choose after you edit the registry and before you reboot. Otherwise, it works perfectly.

Tell me about it. So many windows...
And the process was running in the background, even after I closed each and every one of them. I had to force a shutdown from the command prompt to reboot the computer!
