Looking for a Diagnostic Program

So the computer is going on four years old now and it's probably about time it will start acting up or worse, show signs of getting ready to die.

I run anit-virus, anti-sypware and clean-up programs along with defragging the HDD

I've gone to Major Geeks to see what is there and if they had recommended choices. I found the following:

Find out what is inside my computer:

Everest Free Edition
AIDA32
PC Wizard
SIW (System Info)
WinAudit
SIV (System Information Viewer)
Belarc Advisor
Process Explorer
WinAudit

I'm sure this list is not all the programs that are out there or that they all perform diagnostics.

So the questions are "What do you use for diagnostics of your system?" and "Will any of the programs out there help you catch a problem before your system goes belly up?".

They all do the same thing, so pick one. The only thing they're good for is if someone else (as in tech) needs to know what's in it (presumably, you already know)

I've heard of this one program called Yraggary....but its really expensive.

A another hdd or "TWO" would be about the only good protection & either make an image of what you already have installed or just use it to transfer any important data like stardock stuff to an external hdd , nothing worse than a hdd going to the dogs & loosing all that data

I always use PC Pitstop WWW Link . I found it to be the best Diagnostic website. It's free and it does it right on the site.

MontyXP, appreciate the link. Went there and ran a test on my system. I didn't see a way to get a print out, unless I missed it. I suppose I could have done a screen print.

I've used VCom's System Suite and have always been satisfied.

Thanks for the replies folks. I ran PC Pitstop for two reasons, the price $0, and the fact it doesn't load down to the computer. It made a few suggestion but basically the computer/hardware was fine.   

I'll take a look at VCom's System Suite.
