Novell writing open-source drivers...on its dime

Friday, September 28, 2007 by Philly0381 | Discussion: Personal Computing

Another piece of Linux news to put on the stack. It would appear, at least to me, that slowly but surely things seem to be moving right along with Linux. Is it just a fad, or something more?

Novell is paying for an engineer's time to write free (as in cost) open-source (as in transparency and freedom) Linux device drivers for those who release the hardware specs of their devices.

Not sure Zubaz, makes no difference to me. The point of the article is that Novell is going to help get device drivers out for Linux.
