well where begin? From the beginning i think
This is not a tutorial

Some of us fall in skinning community everyday, many are really new on this stuff, some are new on the site but skin for their personal use since some months/years.

The first thing you can think in seeing an awesome skin/themes from a awesome skinner?
1_ I wish i can do that but i've no skills
2_ How he can do it?
3_... and continue...

Well every people can do it and make their own skins/themes
What do you need? ok you'll tell me that you need skills... NO!!!!
You need time and learn and want really learn.
A very fews Skinners have the skills and hadn't learn too much... VERY FEWS!

You can do all the skins/themes ALL as far as you want it.

So back to the new skinners, you are here but you've no clue where to look for tutorials for this or this application. Ok that's normal.
*You can ask in Forums on Wincustomize
*You can visit our Wincustomize Wiki
*You can read each Articles not only the featureds ones
*You can visit every skinners' personal pages and read their articles not only those of masters or journeyman.
*You can make search on google or whatever you use as searchtools

There is some links Anyway

Hey, does Paintshop and Photoshop are quite the same? I mean, I can create great quality images with Paintshop like with Photoshop? Bcause adobe Photoshop is REALY expensive.
Reply #6 Friday, September 28, 2007 2:15 PM
eh Kazz you can! Quality depends of you not of the software used
The Gimp is free and can make the same thing too

I downloaded Paint.NET, someone recommanded me it. It's an ok program, I cant see a big thing it, but I guess I dont know it much.
Same with PSP, it didnt look like it have alot of options. Is the photoshop tutorials can be used with Paintshop too?
Reply #8 Friday, September 28, 2007 3:02 PM
kaazz, what options do you need?
The tool doesn't make good skins.  Good skinners make good skins.
Take a look at some of the first WB skins in the gallery.  There is some amazing work and I'll bet (virtual) money that those artists used notepad and MS Paint as much as anything else.

If you like the feel of Photoshop but don't have the ready funds, check out

Well I have Paintshop7. My father bought it around 3 years ago. It's good I guess. I need tutorials to start off, I cant seem to find some so I will look for some books. The thing I'm wondering is, I can still work with the tutorials and books even if my paintshop is abit old?
