Also click on STartPanel and enable hide shadows.......

i dont know witch version of skss you have but if it applies, select the transparency options pull-down menu and set it to"use magic pink" i dont remember the exact wording but its a pulldown with three options (use magic pink, use alpha blening, or use per-pixel blending
