C++ Runtime Error

I get a C++ Runtime Error R6034 every time I try to load an icon package.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled IconPackager, but it did not help.

I'm not finding anything here or on google (unless you're creating your own Visual Studio stuff)

maybe tied to netframework?

Has IP ever worked?

What you can do while you wait for your answer is use an older version of Icon Packager.

I have used an older version of IP in the past and it worked. I recently renewed my Object Desktop subscription and reinstalled everything and now it gives the runtime error.

Have you used the official support channel and sent an email to [email protected] ?

These forums are for community support and thankfully Stardock support and developers try to pop in and help when they can.

It looks like no one in the community has had this problem.  I'd try official support.

I've got the same problem as the OP, very annoying as it USED to work before,I hadn't used iconpackager for quite a while but decided to change my icons, now I'm stuffed as it's a no go due to the visual c++ runtime error R6034,I have made a report for help in the support, still waiting....windows blinds works fine, but iconpackager no go cause of this error, can't find any help or possible solutions anywhere,including microsoft website.

Turn off Icon Repair in IP config or rename 'iprepair.ini' to iprepair.old'

Thanks yrag, finally some help, I am very grateful, but please can you tell me do you mean IP config as in IconPackager or in Windows? and where to find which one it is, I couldn't find anything like that in the settings of IconPackager and typing that into the run cmd it displays a black dialog(?) box for a second or two then disappears, sorry to be a pain but I really do need the help on this, thanks.

I think I know what you are referring to to now, the iprepair.ini which is in in the iconpackager folder on my c drive, correct? I will try renaming it and see what happens, will report back, thanks.

yrag, you did it !!!!!!!! many many thanks to you mate, did what you said changing iprepair.ini to .old, rebooted and tried icon packager and the icons changed, god you saved me from a mental breakdown ! Thank you so so much again for helping me.
