WC Poll: WindowBlinds 6. How is it?
I have nothing witty to say in this space....

Welcome back skinning fans to another fun-filled and exciting week here at WinCustomize.com! Last week we delved the mysteries of the collective community's brain to try and find out what the most popular overall style of skin is. Despite providing the nebulous "other" option to cover everything I forgot to list out, one style came out on-top by a large margin. It would seem that on the whole, you folks are most into the "Bright & Clean" style of skin. Here's a full breakdown of the results:

This week we turn from the world of content to that of skinning technology. Last week we released the first beta build of WindowBlinds 6 to Object Desktop subscribers. Version 6 represents a pretty significant step forward in skinning tech with the addition of complex animations to many elements of the UI (see the included Molten skin and the animated dragon on the Start Menu) and the addition of several "Vista" effects for Windows XP users. Coupled with the upcoming release of SkinStudio 6, it's a pretty exciting time for skinning tech.
So this week's poll is about your impressions of the beta so far. We'd like to know what sort of general reception this early version is receiving from the community. Do you love it? Hate it? Have feelings somewhere in between? Let us know in the webpoll by clicking the link below.

Wet Monkey, I too am in that situation. I have been told that it will be 2 to 3 weeks before a build of WB6 tat supoorts Vista64 will be available. The person who told me definitely knows what he is talking about so I expect to be using it very soon.
on another note....... LOL @ Yanker

Whatever was tweaked in the new build sure solved my problem. WB6 seems much smoother and loads skins with less effort. I'm playing around with the new features and so-far-so-good ... really nice improvements over WB5.

Also some of the customizations didn't seem to work realy well that first build but since I haven't stumbled across any issues. Having said that I haven't run any real comprehensive tests.

i am on Vista X86 Ultimate with Geforce 8800GTS
the minimize and maximize animations are not consistent.
sometimes when i try to minimize, the window animates as if its been closed and sometimes it really does minimize. I had the same problem with WB 5.5 on vista..
i hope this bug gets fixed in subsequent builds

I also love that animated dragon on the start menu. Looks fantastic.
