WordPress Releases 2.2.2 Update

Monday, August 6, 2007 by Island Dog | Discussion: Personal Computing

I just recently installed WordPress for my personal site, and have been quite impressed so far.  I know there are many of you out there that use WordPress as well, so I wanted to bring you the news of a minor security update.

This update should not cause any problems with themes or plugins, and I installed and updated in just a few minutes.

Worked like a charm for me as well... I updated four WordPress sites on my development server; Two manually on Sunday with just the updated files from SVN, and two this evening with the complete WordPress 2.2.2 release using the "upgrade.php" path. I disabled all plugins beforehand and the whole thing took less than ten minutes...and No breakage!    I'm looking forward to possibly putting a couple of WordPress installations into production.
