WindowBlinds 6 Beta Feedback
Wednesday, August 1, 2007 by Neil Banfield | Discussion: Stardock Support General
Please post all feedback about the WindowBlinds 6 beta on this thread.
Note that the beta is for 32 bit XP and Vista systems only. Please do not post about it not working on 64 bit XP/Vista. Please continue to use WB 5.51 on those platforms.
This beta is for Object Desktop customers ONLY. Standalone WindowBlinds 5 owners will not be able to activate this build.
Please note that you must have Stardock Central 2.46 Build 154 or later to install the WindowBlinds 6 betas. If you try and use older versions, it'll eventually timeout and give you an error about an invalid URL.
If you have problems with it running at all, please uninstall WB6, reboot and then try reinstalling WB6 again.

I love the new WB6. Just wish I could use it. Finally had to go back to WB5. I guess I'll have to wait for the full release.
Did you have the .23 build installed? That has a change to some menu related code which might have been conflicting with an IE and explorer addin on your pc.

One tiny thing though,I can't get the progress anims for the Diamond skin to load up and they don't show in the WB preview window. They are in the skin folder for Diamond,I can see them, but no matter what I do I just get the plain none skinned xp anims.Any ideas? do I need to re-name them or something?
Excellent update though and great new skins.

Another thing danilloOC needs to update, they are in skin folder but are not showing as being associated with skin when open in SkinStudio. I just added them to skin in SKS and they work fine now.

Karmat, the odds are overwhelming you're using a 32-bit OS. Right click on your My Computer/Computer icon and select Properties. On Vista, it'll explicitly mention "System Type: 32-bit Operating system" (or 64). I think XP will also indicate it in a similar fashion, but I'm not rebooting tonight to check.
You really really have to work to get a 64-bit version of Windows installed still (doesn't tend to come preloaded), so you probably are on 32-bit.
Kris
I for one will patiently wait for the 64 bit version
And as far as it being really really hard to get it installed - it was as easy as 32 bit to do it on my rig AND all my software from my 32 bit side works!!!!!

Open skin in SkinStudio, from explorer tree, Shell Animations-Animation Files, then on right, Section tab you will see the file sections, click on first one then from drop menu below preview select the proper file. Once you have set all save and apply.
