Windows XP Home Edition SP2 Winowblinds reverts to Classic Theme

Monday, July 16, 2007 by Cody AKA Classic | Discussion: Stardock Support General

I have Windows XP Home Edition SP2, and with Windowblinds when I try to install any theme, built in to Windowblinds or ones that I download, it goes to the Classic Theme.

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.5 (build 92 x86))

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC

WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

(Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to RADEON 9200 PRO Family (Microsoft Corporation)

Wblind.dll 2007/02/21 15:06:20
Wbsrv.dll 2007/02/07 17:31:19
Wbconfig.exe 2007/02/21 15:06:33
Wbload.exe 2006/09/30 13:59:14
Wbhelp.dll 2004/09/18 15:37:07
Wbui.dll 2005/12/06 21:29:06
Tray.dll 2006/04/28 18:27:49

Is there any solution to my problem?

You should un-install this version, reboot and download either the 'trial' version or the 'purchased' version from this link - https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/

The "shareware" version has a time limit. After this time period you will only be able to use the XP OS skins. If you wish to continue with being able to use the great skins and the WindowBlinds program, you will need to purchase it.

Cody AKA Classic: Could you please submit an email to [email protected] from the email address under which you purchased WindowBlinds and reference this thread in the email?

Thanks!

Nevermind, It's working after an upgrade to XP Pro and reinstallation of Windowblinds

Thanks, Stardock for the great product!
