Run Dreamscenes at windows startup

Thursday, July 12, 2007 by mahesh31 | Discussion: Animated Wallpapers

hi,

Iam using windows vista ultimate and the dreamscenes appear paused after startup. Can anyone pls tell me how to make the .dream (animated wallpapers) to animate during startup. everytime I have to force them to animate by right clicking on desktop and selecting the option "Play dreamscenes (preview)".

thanks,
mahesh.

Sounds like some kind of service is not running. I'm not sure if Dreamscence has any type of service that runs at startup, you could check that.

Set the service to automatic (If there is a service for dreamscene)

Mahesh31, does this happen with any .dream, or just the dynamic content? Try rebooting and leaving the system logged in for one full minute. There is a delay for resuming dreamscene after a reboot, and dynamic scenes have a longer delay if I remember correctly. If it still doesn't resume, then I'm not sure.

You could also try downloading the latest drivers for your graphics card. That might fix the problem.

Hi Guys,

Thank you so much for your advice.

The dreamscene appears to be paused no matter whatever the file extension is (.dream, .mpeg). I did leave the laptop logged in for more than 10 mins but it didnt help.

I updated the drivers for my graphics card and it still didnt help.

This is a new HP Pavilion laptop with 2GHz core2duo processor, 2 GB RAM, nvidia GEFORCE GO 7600 GS with 512 MB deddicated graphics card.

If any other suggestions strikes your mind, pls do share it and help me.

Thanks,
mahesh.

just for the sake of trying it but adjust the power settings on your laptop and see if that helps out any..the power settings might be set so the notebook doesn't kill alot of battery power
