Master dreams are too Expensive

Thursday, June 28, 2007 by screamingiraffe | Discussion: Windows Vista

I've purchased two dreams, and I after having them for a while, I won't be buying anymore at almost $10 a pop. I think $3 is more realistic.. I mean think about it..
you buy 10 dreams ( just wallpaper mind you ) and you've just spent about $100
or half the cost of your entire OS... remember, we're talking 'Wallpaper'

Just my opinion, but the cost of these dreams really 'REALLY' needs to come down..

sorry the for the spam - but as a subscriber to Wincustomize, paid $20 for that too.. I believe that if the price doesn't come down, members should get some kinda discount

From the purchase page.

As a WinCustomize subscriber one of the perks you receive is a 20% discount on all Master Skin Suite (Author's skin suites) purchases. Though the cart does not reflect this discount, at this time, it will be applied to your order during the checkout process.

I don't believe that my purchases were dicounted. I wonder when that discount policy was added. I've been a member for about 3 months I think, or about that.
thanks for the info

Not all dreams cost almost $10.  My master dream (Expanding shapes) is only $4.95.

i didnt purchase any but these master skins are not all that anyway, they get tiresome after a while, i swap between lots of em depending on mood but since dreamscene is still beta/preview..whatever and not likely to be fixed properly, i could care less.
lot of good it does to have a nice animated wallpaper then suddenly see a black blank screen with dreamscenese failure to recover message

lately i've just been recording various screensavers and sometimes videogames at hi resolutions, edit and use those..just as good as anything else out there

i wish dreamrender worked with vista, way better

Thankfully we live in a society where you don't have to purchase what you don't want.  And if enough people don't purchase the price may go down (or the service will go away).

I've been happy with what I've purchased.  Some got more use than others.  But in the end . . I'm glad I supported people I believe in.

dcyphure: Many of the master dreams are dynamic dreams which would not suffer from the dreamscene failure to recover message.
