You will get different personal preferences as to which software to run. The important thing is protect you computer from unwanted and uninvited guests as in virus, adware and trojans getting in.
Here's another piece of information that I picked up, all in one security programs sound nice but if you read the reviews usually they show they don't do aa good of a job as stand alone componets.

Ya I noticed that about security programs. I had Norton Internet Security last year and had to dump it and go with just anti-virus. Currently I have zone alarm firewall and norton anti-virus. I have had to re-install norton about 3 times since I installed it in december, because it kept saying that my subscription ran out. I think I'm just going to go with Zone Labs Anti-Virus and Zone Alarm Firewall. I just want a simple set up that does it's job.
