Export to sidebar not working x64?

Monday, June 25, 2007 by konstareal | Discussion: Beta

I just downloaded the beta of DesktopX, and am finding that I am unable to get gadgets working in the sidebar. I even went as far  as to follow the method layed out in the video on the front page of wincustomize for creating a new object and exporting it to the sidebar. Once the process has been completed, the object is installed to the sidebar, but then displays a message saying that DesktopX must be installed to use the gadget. It is installed, and running. What is the problem?

I am running vista 64bit.

I should add that the "Please click here" link displayed under the message in the sidebar does not work; it goes to a 404 error.

Has no one at stardock been able to replicate this? Can I at least hear that someone has filed this as a bug report, since I took the time to describe it?

I'd suggest you email [email protected]

The forums move quickly and your post may not have been seen by anyone who could help.  Emailing will get it in the queue.

Good luck!
