Icon help
Monday, June 25, 2007 by Tom Bullock | Discussion: Icons
Im just wondering if anyone could help me out with this.
I have my own custom images that i would like to have as icons which are allready converted into the .ico format
Evertime i right click, e.g 'New Folder', Properties, Customise, Change Icon and enter to path of the .ico file a pop up box says C:\Documents and Settings...... contains no icons.
Could anyone help me out with how to get my custom images as icons?
Any help would be much apreciated.

u can just change extension to ico. it's work on my comp.
That shouldn't work at all. Needs to be converted with something like IconDeveloper or Axialis IconWorkshop.

I'm not sure this is the correct place for this posting, but here goes.
I use Icon Packager, and my queries are these:
How do I change the 'recent documents' icon in the start menu, no matter which set I install, this remains the same?
How do I change the both the 'recent documents' (though I understand that this may be related to above) and the 'desktop' icons in the change icon dialog box (I'm aware this dialog box makes several different appearances), as above - they remain unchanged.
Thanks

How did you convert them? may I suggest IconDeveloper?
