Show system tray icons in dock

Can somebody please tell me how to get your system tray icons to show up on your dock. I have plus and one dock and would like to see the tray icons in my dock so I can get rid of my taskbar completly. I have Vista 32 bit.

I actually registered on this site just to say that this solution was the only one that worked for me. Crazy. I was using OD 1.5, upgraded to 1.9, lost all my system tray icons. Was using Nimix's docklet, but it was eating up tons of CPU time!!! So I started searching for a solution again... this works on XP SP2, OD 1.9. I downloaded the link above, changed the default value in that registry key to blank (just double click it and hit ok) and rebooted... worked fine after that.

Am I to understand that creating a system tray dock in the 'regular' way did not work for you folks? i.e. Dock Properties -> Dock Contents -> Show System Tray Icons

The latest build of ObjectDock doesn't use MCP at all. Not sure how this worked . . but MCP shouldn't be the issue. I wonder if there are some leftover files from a previous install causing this (now solved) issue.

I seem to recall (in the dim, dark past) having to delete or rename c:\program files\common files\stardock\trayserver.exe
Maybe it's still a problem for some people?

I have the same problem. I tried the registry change above but this didn't do anything. Any thoughts?

here is what I did.
Open Registry Editor. If you don't know how to do it in Vista u can always search help and support.
Go to computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENTVERSION\WINLOGON\NOTIFY\MCPCLIENT
if u can't locate mcpclient, just search it in the editor.
the first entry is (default), the orignal value is not defined, change it to blank, at least that's what I did. Close the editor. Restart OD plus. Create a seperate dock just for the systray icons.

Remember there's always risk changing Registry so be careful. I hope this would help you or anyone having the same problem
