psd thumbnails in Vista

Saturday, June 16, 2007 by ama02 | Discussion: Windows Vista

Ever since I upgraded to Vista, I am no longer able to view thumbnail images for all my .psd files, only the default psd icon. I can't see them in explorer, or when using the File > Open viewer. I have no problems with thumbnails for my Paint Shop Pro images (pspimage). Is there a way to get the psd thumbnails working again? I'm running PS CS2 on Vista Home Premium.

Here's a site with the missing file and reg entries with simple instructions.

http://creativebits.org/no_psd_thumbnail_in_windows_explorer

This will solve your problem.

PS Just FYI, if you just go to www.google.com and search keywords for help on such things, you'll find the answers faster than posting in a forum like this. All I did was search "psd thumbnails windows" and one of the answers was this site above. I hope this helps you in the future.
